Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's test drive meme! If you're unfamiliar with the game, then you can check out the navigation to get yourself up to speed on all the relevant info pages then check out the most recent AU Planning meme to see what juicy ideas your fellow players are cooking up!

As the prompts in the TDM are based on events from the prior in-game month, the overall TDM is not canon to Beautiful Dreamer though players are free to treat individual CR/threads on this post as canon to their characters if both players are happy to do so.

Dreamers on the TDM will have access to all of their starter powers as outlined on the powers page as well as two unique abiliites to play around with as you please.

Some prompts and location details have been provided below for you to play around with but please feel free to go hog wild and have fun!

YUMEMIGAOKA

As October steps in, it brings along some cooler, more comfortable weather, following the heels of September. Right around the middle of the month, autumn settles into the city properly and trees around the city start to change colour and shed their leaves. Toward the end of October, temperatures drop and there's a pleasant autumn crispness in the air that sets the perfect mood for Halloween. The city of Yumemigaoka is buzzing with excitement and anticipation as it readies itself for the upcoming Halloween celebrations. From decorations to costumes, everyone is getting into the spirit of this spook-tacular holiday!


⧖ It's the spookiest time of the year! All around Yumemigaoka, shops are decorating and stocking for Halloween. Halloween themed sales will run across a range of goods and some restaurants will even be getting in on the action! Do you feel like getting into the Halloween spirit(s)?

⧖ A freak hailstorm strikes Yumemigaoka in the late evening! The city sees about an hour of the stuff with a good number of shops around Koubai, Kihada and Asagi getting pelted with the stuff. Luckily it doesn't last for too long but if you're stuck out in it without an umbrella, you're definitely going to be feeling that sting for a bit.

⧖ Moon Bunny Market are hosting a Halloween costume contest with some tasty prizes! Contestants must strut their stuff and introduce their costume to the watching crowd and panel of judges to be in for a chance of winning. Or maybe instead of strutting it, you're one of the poor souls who's been volunteered to judge this whole thing?

⧖ It's the Yumemigaoka Halloween street party, baby! For one evening at the end of the month, part of Koubai is sectioned off to serve as the open-air venue for a kickass Halloween costume party! Spooky music plays throughout and the streets are lined with funky decorations to get everyone in the Halloween spirit. Dig into snacks and drinks, dress up and go all out and enjoy the festivities! They only come one night a year, after all.







THE DREAM SPHERE







The Dream Sphere might be a very different kind of place to Yumemigaoka but that doesn't mean it's any less busy. Searing summer sunlight pours down from the sky above and temperatures are soaring to some truly rancid highs, meaning everyone from Dreamers to Torments and even a few Nightmares are putting their focus on scurrying for shelter under anything cool and shady that they can find. At last, harmony over in the Dream Sphere! All it took was an excessive heat warning!!!

As usual, the emotions stirring over in the Waking World have begun funnelling into the Dream Sphere and causing all manner of problems here and there. Torments and Nightmares won't hunt themselves so be sure to properly scout out all the available locations of the Dream Sphere you can access just in case - maybe you'll find a new teammate to work with while you're out there!

In particular, it looks like trouble can be found...


⧖ With it being the season of ghouls and ghosties, it should come as no surprise that the Reverie Necropolis is once again causing trouble! Rather than one big Nightmare, though, the spooky vibes of the Halloween season has resulted in the Necropolis absolutely overflowing with nasty, horror movie themed Torments who want nothing more than to frighten the absolute life out of anyone who comes across them. Thankfully, none of them are especially powerful individually but the sheer number of them means you'll be better off working with a team. Dreamer beware, you're in for a scare!

⧖ The Vale of Sorrow is back in action after being briefly disconnected from the rest of the Dream Sphere and celebrates its return by swapping out its usual torrential rain for pelting hail! The already slippery ground has gotten dangerously slick and with the weather being so thoroughly unpleasant, Torments are going to be harder to track down as they hide out from the hail... and they might be just that bit more aggressive once you actually manage to track them down!

⧖ While summer is slowly ending and fall is on its way in, summer heatwaves aren't letting go just yet and in Fury Peak... oh boy... oh god... it's hot! The air is heavy with humidity and an unusually bright and blazing sun makes Fury Peak a hellscape!... not that it isn't like that anyway given how many Torments it typically has but... To make matters worse, not only has the toasty weather given the fiery Torments here an unusual boost of power, but sticking around long enough will make it clear that Nightmare is starting to spawn here! If you act fast, you might be able to take this Nightmare down before it awakens and starts rampaging, but maybe not all by yourself...
