Her raincoat is already damp, and while her scarf is still its usual vibrant red, it's hanging limp out the hood of said raincoat, not quite dripping but probably not keeping her very warm anymore. She'd just thrown the bag containing her purchase into her sturdy canvas tote bag and come up to the door when-
