Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's test drive meme! If you're unfamiliar with the game, then you can check out the navigation to get yourself up to speed on all the relevant info pages then check out the most recent AU Planning meme to see what juicy ideas your fellow players are cooking up!

As the prompts in the TDM are based on events from the prior in-game month, the overall TDM is not canon to Beautiful Dreamer though players are free to treat individual CR/threads on this post as canon to their characters if both players are happy to do so.

Dreamers on the TDM will have access to all of their starter powers as outlined on the powers page as well as two unique abilities to play around with as you please.

Some prompts and location details have been provided below for you to play around with but please feel free to go hog wild and have fun!

YUMEMIGAOKA

April comes springing in with a deluge of cherry blossoms all around the city as the trees around the city continue their long awaited springtime blooms! While this beautiful sight will last for at least the first week or two of April, cherry blossom season doesn't seem likely to end on a particularly sunny note. The weather fluctuates between wet, overcast days and some occasional breaks of sunshine, but the overall trend is damp and rainy - you know what they say about April showers! Thankfully, the uptick in temperatures will continue through the month and April will come to an end feeling a good deal brighter and warmer than March.


⧖ Cherry blossom season is still upon us! The first two weeks of April are the peak of the spring frenzy, with all sorts of tourists and residents flooding the streets and green spots in order to enjoy some tasty food and the sights of the blooming trees. If you've got some free time and it's a dry day, why not take a picnic down to the park? Of course, if you're beset with seasonal allergies, then that might not be an option for you. You remembered your hayfever meds, right? Achoo!

⧖ With a number of new students being tossed out into the world following graduation season, the DU is hosting a handy dandy job fair at the Asagi Public Library for graduates who are looking to get right into work after leaving school. It's specifically catered to employers who can accommodate Dreamers and their occasionally wonky schedules so checking it out might not be a bad idea. But some of these job offers are kind of... what does being a 'professional queuer' even entail?!

⧖ Ozora Curry takes advantage of the gloomy weather to host their legendary 'hotter than hot stuff' spicy curry challenge that was absolutely, without a doubt, NOT ripped off from the Koubu-ya challenge of the same name! Diners are tasked with finishing a whole serving of face-meltingly spicy curry within a set time, and if they're successful they'll be given a special commemorative picture along with their meal for free! There's plenty of other - uh, no better way to warm yourself up on these chilly spring days!

⧖ ⧖ Did you have plans today? Better give them a rain check! A train malfunction at the Asagi Station means trains to and from the main Asagi Station will be delayed if not outright cancelled for the rest of the day. Of course, this has started a bit of a war out front of the station for the remaining taxis but surely you'll be able to compromise with your fellow travellers...







THE DREAM SPHERE







Over in the Dream Sphere, spring fever continues to reign supreme, with iridescent flowers and colorful trees still making their mark everywhere, growing out of just about every surface you can see, regardless of whether or not it actually looks fit to support plantlife.

As usual, the emotions stirring over in the Waking World have begun funneling into the Dream Sphere and causing all manner of problems here and there. Torments and Nightmares won't hunt themselves so be sure to properly scout out all the available locations of the Dream Sphere you can access just in case - maybe you'll find a new teammate to work with while you're out there!

In particular, it looks like trouble can be found...


⧖ No matter where you go in the Dream Sphere, it almost looks like it's... snowing?! Isn't it a little warm for that? ... on closer inspection, this snow is actually cherry blossom petals raining endlessly down from the sky. How pretty! Of course, for those of you with allergies, maybe it's just rubbing salt on the wound. Your nose isn't itching, is it? Achoo!

⧖ Somehow, some prankster of a Torment has gotten the idea to start waging indirect war against the Dreamers through sheer annoyance! Rather than facing them in combat, Dreamers will find themselves plagued by tripwires, confetti popper jumpscares and a host of other miscellaneous pranks as they try to do their jobs! The only way to get the pranks to stop is to take out the Torment responsible but good look finding the thing. Looks like the fools this April are you guys.

⧖ The spring weather has swept across the Abandoned Dojo, turning what was once an anxiety inducing test of reflexes and balance into a pleasant hike up a mountain while surrounded by gorgeous views. Unfortunately, the atmosphere seems to have really invigorated all the Torments here too and you won't be able to go more than a few steps before being faced by a Torment who wants to face you in an honorable duel! How 'honorable' they actually are is up for debate given that they see nothing wrong with ganging up on Dreamers who are all alone - but if the Torments can fight in a group, so can you!

⧖ You'd think Twinkle Keep would be the picture perfect place to relax and enjoy this lovely spring weather, but even Low Risk areas of the Dream Sphere can end up turning into big trouble if left unattended! A Nightmare taking the form of a giant suit of armor has gone and spawned and a horde of similarly armored Torments have proceeded to form a military procession and march up and down the halls. Fighting your way past them to try and get to the Nightmare is going to be tough but with the right team, you should be able to manage it!
