Character Name: Miyu Kobayashi

ive had some people already say "your inbox notif confused me" based on the username and if you think that's bad denise dreamwidth herself PM'd me over it the day I registered it and you won't beat that

About:
Miyu is your friendly neighbourhood psychiatrist! She came to Yume cause she's a big oneirology nerd and when she found out about the whole dream sphere mahou stuff she went THAT'S MY SHIT BOY and ran full speed ahead.

She runs a little clinic I will add to the locations page when possible where she is actually a good, accredited and well meaning doctor who wants to help you work through your problems! Then when she isn't doing that, she's doing experiments on people who have signed consent forms to see if eating particular foods or sleeping upside down on a sleeping bag has any effect on your time in the dream sphere. The whole "quirky mad scientist" thing is going to be lighthearted though, so don't get the wrong idea.

Short Term & Long Term Plans:
She's a normie NPC character basically so my hopes are for her to enable other people's character arcs while she herself just vibes. Unlike with Morris I'm winging it.

Desired CR:
- PATIENTS WOULD BE VERY CUTE if anyone's character was like "dang I need counselling but money problems/don't want my parents to find out" she's the doctor for you. Despite her being a huge weirdo she's actually very good at her job because she really does care about helping people and she isn't unskilled, her brain is just a lump of cotton candy.
- volunteers.........as i mentioned she wants to study dreams but a lot of this is going to be unorthodox methods in a very cartoonish way, so as we skirt the line between extremely silly but not harmful let her make you drink a mixture of all the foods associated with dreams and see what happens.
- family would be extremely cute, I've kept her vaguely between 25-30 if you want your parent to have a weird younger sibling. it would be doubly funny if they were like "there's a reason we don't bring you to visit your aunt miyu" and then she turned up in yume one day DANG LOOK AT THIS KID. speaking of, yeah, if you want a weird sister or cousin that's also an option
- Idk I think it would be funny if someone was bankrolling her research or just her landlord and every month she fed you excuses as to why next month for sure please don't cut her funding
- she's gay so like, exes would be really funny if you want your character to wonder why they have such bad taste
- speaking of her getting a girlfriend would be cute but I'd rather that happen in-game rather than assumed cr
- colleagues? idc if they stare at her diploma wondering if it's a real college or not or they actually approve, either is good

The pepper thing can 100% be canon but Jeannette may end up insisting Miyu should HOLD NOTHING BACK if she catches on. She can take it!!! She's going to be a gross teary mess, but just, ignore that, she's got this!!!!
