Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's test drive meme! If you're unfamiliar with the game, then you can check out the navigation to get yourself up to speed on all the relevant info pages then check out the most recent AU Planning meme to see what juicy ideas your fellow players are cooking up!

As the prompts in the TDM are based on events from the prior in-game month, the overall TDM is not canon to Beautiful Dreamer though players are free to treat individual CR/threads on this post as canon to their characters if both players are happy to do so.

Dreamers on the TDM will have access to all of their starter powers as outlined on the powers page as well as two unique abiliites to play around with as you please.

Some prompts and location details have been provided below for you to play around with but please feel free to go hog wild and have fun!

YUMEMIGAOKA

Fall is officially in full swing as of November, which means everyone gets to enjoy crisp mornings, cool nights, clear skies and, most importantly, northern Japan's famous vibrant autumnal colours! It's pretty consistently overcast and rainy for the whole month which would usually make things all sorts of gloomy - but thankfully, as the month grows colder, trees all over the city are turning cartoonishly yellow and red and orange, decorating the otherwise grim fall atmosphere with pops of warm colour that have a way of brightening the mood. Unfortunately for folks working in hospitality, the change in weather and the famous fall colours also means that a whole lot of tourists will be invading the city for autumn sightseeing. Be strong, our soldiers..!


⧖ It's Culture Day! Schools around Yumemigaoka will be holding their cultural festivals, which usually includes performances put on by school clubs, booths run by classes and, of course, lots of food stalls run by students. Cultural festivals are also open days, so family members and friends from other schools will be able to come and hang out during these days! Come have a nostalgic wander around your old haunt or use visiting a friend as an excuse to snoop around Promised Morning and see what the heck a school for mahous even looks like, I ain't your boss.

⧖ It's blustering out there...! A nasty storm has blown in that's currently wreaking havoc all over Yumemigaoka with high winds and heavy rains - thankfully, it's not a full blown typhoon but that doesn't mean it's any less of a pain to deal with! Traffic has slowed to a crawl, as has public transport, and cafes and shops are overflowing with people trying to stay out of the rain! If you're lucky, you can stay home and avoid the weather, but if you really do need to go out, well... we'll be sure to remember you...!!

⧖ Hoping to do some regular shopping at the department store this month? Unfortunately for you, Tsubaki Department Store are having a pre-Black Friday Sale Sale (??!??!) to hype up for the winter season and is usual for when prices drop at Tsubaki, competition is fierce! Nobody will judge you if you have to throw a few punches to pick up a new microwave today. With how dangerous things get during these sales, it's basically self defense.

⧖ Midway through the month, the holiday spirit really starts to show itself in Yumemigaoka! The Yumemigaoka Christmas Illuminations go up all around the city with a lighting ceremony in the evening to celebrate turning them on. Food stalls with tasty food and hot drinks will be available for everyone to check out or maybe you just want to enjoy the pretty lights. They're only here for one month a year, after all!







THE DREAM SPHERE







Over in the Dream Sphere, fall fever has taken over here as well! The air is crisp and clean and those leaves raining down from apparently nowhere aren't letting up in the least. They're nice and pretty and all, but they're also piling up everywhere around the Dream Sphere, leaving a really good hiding spot for Torments who love to jump out and smack you. So really, it's just good manners to kick those piles and scatter leaves everywhere as soon as you see them.

As usual, the emotions stirring over in the Waking World have begun funnelling into the Dream Sphere and causing all manner of problems here and there. Torments and Nightmares won't hunt themselves so be sure to properly scout out all the available locations of the Dream Sphere you can access just in case - maybe you'll find a new teammate to work with while you're out there!

In particular, it looks like trouble can be found...


⧖ Twinkle Keep and the Whispering Grotto have been taken over by Torments! These little Halloween suckers are NOT respecting the seasonal aesthetic. Make sure to each them a lesson - but don't get Tricked in the process!

⧖ Fury Peak is just as unpleasant as usual, though the crisp fall atmosphere does seem to have cleared some of the usual smoke in the air, making it a bit easier to fight and, you know, breathe when you're patrolling here. The Torments on the Peak seem to be in a pretty bad mood this month, though - maybe the seasonal change is getting to them? Either way, they're responding to this by... pelting any Dreamers thry see with rocks?! It's different from their usual tactics to be sure but you have to wonder how effective it is... it is really annoying, though, so better take 'em out!

⧖ The Reflection Glades aren't usually a hot spot for Torment activity but with all the unusual happenings in the Dream Sphere lately, it looks like whatever force is usually responsible for keeping Torments at bay isn't quite as effective as usual and a startling amount of the little boogers have breeched the Glades' safety and started going after Figments in earnest! Thankfully, a whole bunch of Dreamers have been dispatched to take care of the issue so even though there's a fair bit more pressure than usual with all these Figments who need protecting, you're not alone – and who knows? Maybe this is how you'll stumble your way into a new team!

⧖ In a rare change for the Abandoned Dojo, its usually rainy weather has almost entirely cleared in favour of crisp, wintery fog that definitely effects visibility more than you would maybe like it to when hiking this path but something about it is kind of refreshing, too. Even so, there's an odd tension in the air today and all the Torments you face on the way up here seem on edge as well. It isn't until you reach the Dojo itself that the cause becomes apparent – a Nightmare is starting to spawn here, right in the middle of the Dojo's training arena, as if it's waiting for a truly powerful opponent to turn up and challenge it... If you act fast, you might be able to take this Nightmare down before it awakens and starts rampaging, but maybe not all by yourself...

i. fury peak

[When the Figment finally makes its way out of the Zero Crater, there's no populated zones nearby. The place probably used to spawn Torments, but it hasn't for months now. Not since the only Dreamer in residence...passed. Now, there's absolutely no reason for anyone to be here at all.

He walks, until he finds himself in another forbidding landscape. The landscape here looks fire-blasted. Heat soaks through the metal armor he wears, until he's soaked with sweat underneath it. The Crater got hot like this sometimes too, when the Doctor was furious with someone or on one of his periods of manic, unrelenting activity. Then it would get cold. The Figment knows how to handle this much. It goes on walking, until a stone drops from above. It isn't large, and it bounces harmlessly off his helmet. The Figment looks up. It's impossible to tell what it's thinking; the helmet covers his face. It's mostly shining purple metal, with chrome accents and a smooth featureless plane of black glass in front. It looks a little bit like the head of some sort of dragon.

Torments are mostly threats to Figments, not so much to Dreamers. The Figment might have been created in the image of a Dreamer, but that doesn't really make it one. Now that it's disconnected from a real person, it's barely anything at all. But at least it is more aware and capable of defending itself than most.]

...Electro Drift.

[The shape shoots suddenly into the air at the nearest Torment, wreathed in electricity.]

ii. reflection glades

[This place is peaceful. This is a place Dreamers might congregate socially.

At least, that's how Doctor Turo remembered it. What the Figment finds is immediately more intense. Figments - the normal kind, the proper sleeping-person kind - never ended up in the Crater, and it's seen precious few of them even on its journey here. But there's a lot of them in the Reflection Glades. And, at least today, a lot of Torments trying to prey on them.]

Look out!

[The cry is directed at another Figment, instinctive. But of course it's not really aware like he is. He leaps forward to grab it and spin it away, punching the Torment that had been attacking it with a purple-gauntleted fist that crackles with electricity. Several more are already circling closer, though, and the fact that he's still protectively holding onto the other Figment hinders his ability to fight somewhat. He backs away, looking between his foes. Is this really Dreamer Miraidon? He's experienced, even if he doesn't have a team or ever seem to go on hunts. Maybe he's just rusty, and that's why he's acting a little like he's new.]

iii. abandoned dojo

[The sight of a mountain rising over the Dream Sphere is simply too tempting. The Crater had built itself slowly downward, ever more so the more time the Doctor spent there hollowing it out. The Figment's never been anywhere high up, certainly nowhere tall enough to see so much all at once. It should be focusing on its goal...but, it figures, maybe there will be Dreamers to meet up there? So it climbs.

The path is alternately a peaceful stroll and a fun obstacle course of sorts. He's inherited the Doctor's Dreamer abilities, at least the basic ones, so he can jump along easily enough. By the time he reaches the top of the mountain, he's in good spirits indeed, almost laughing to himself...and then he sees it. In the middle of the majestic old building, there's unmistakably a Nightmare forming.

He's only ever seen this once before. Right before the Doctor died - the Figment ducks behind a pillar, suddenly shaking. He can hop around all he wants, but he's not a Dreamer. He's only a Figment. If that Nightmare gets him, he's not going to wake up in the real world - he thinks he'll just be gone.

He should be brave. If there's a choice between something that isn't real getting hurt, and someone who is, isn't the answer obvious? But - but they'll wake up! And if he's gone, who's going to stop the machine?

Maybe that's just an excuse. But Dreamer Miraidon backs away, then turns tail and begins to bolt.]

[ For Dreamer Ai-Doll, fighting in the Glades is basically the equivalent of punching way below her weight class. Even with Torments causing a fuss, it's calm and easy here - but it's the presence of Figments that draws her. She's recognizable and her powers are bright and attention grabbing and as cynical as it is, it's good PR if people wake from a frightening dream holding onto the memory of Dreamer Ai-Doll, sparkling and fearless, doing her best to protect them.

Today, though, it looks like she has a slightly less corporate reason to be here - in answer to his shout, Ai-Doll's voice rises up over the din as well. ]

Keep your head down!

[ At that command, a flurry of stairs come pouring down from the clear sky above, each making sharp and solid contact with the encroaching Torments. All of them are sent reeling, temporarily dizzied and from outside the frenzied cirle, she hops up and waves to get his attention. ]

Here! Break through now and come over this way!

[It's certainly a dazzling display to one Figment. His expression is impossible to read beneath his helmet, but Miraidon's eyes go wide at the spectacle. Such power! And - to such a purpose!

He remembers Dreamer Ai-Doll. Of course Dr. Morado knew her, if only by reputation. She's one of the foremost faces of the Union! How could he not? They may have met once or twice, but only barely. Turo understood the purpose of PR, but he didn't have much respect for the Dreamers who headed it up. He was the one doing actual, important scientific work. Really, he should have had more of that appreciation himself.

The Figment never formed many opinions on that one way or another, before. The real-world workings of the Union and the public all seemed so impossibly far away. Now...now, he just knows that the Doctor's work was dangerous to everyone, and here is Dreamer Ai-Doll, trying to help people. He knows that's what Dreamers are supposed to do, but this is still the first time he's seen one actually do it.]

Come on.

[That's in a low tone to the Figment - as if it'll hear him, as if it's really like him at all, of course it isn't - and then electricity crackles back to life around them both. Dreamer Miraidon's Electro Drift grants him speed even beyond the standard Dreamer abilities. Between that and the summoned electricity, he's quick to follow orders, breaking through the line of Torments with a burst of power and darting over towards Ai-Doll.

This is the first time he's really properly greeting a Dreamer, too. There's enough going on that he doesn't really consider this fact until it's already upon him.]

Um - hello! [nailed it...?]

Oh - hi to you, too! [ She laughs, but not unkindly. ] Sorry I only showed up at the last minute. Usually the Glades don't really need someone like me around, but it's a good thing I dropped by today, huh?

[ She feels relatively confident in her guess that she's encountered a relatively new Dreamer - she can't see his face under that shiny helmet but going by his height and his voice, she's pretty sure he's older than her. That's uncommon, but not exactly unusual - people can Awaken at any point in their lives, but she always feels a little bad for the people who have to suddenly adjust when they're all the way into adulthood. ]

I'll back you up while we finish this off, okay? If I give you a little boost, you can definitely manage it!

[Miraidon will probably notice something in the distance at first; wind kicking up and the mist swirling as something fast approaches. He's not fast enough to shoot straight up the side of the cliff (yet) but Sonic blitzes through the obstacle course with the devil himself. When he comes over the edge, it's entirely too quickly: he winds up launching himself straight up into the air, doing a couple of forward flips before uncurling(?!) and landing with the grace of a cat.

... There's no way he knew anyone was going to be here, were all those theatrics just for himself?]

Huh?

[There's a pause before he sees the other Dreamer running away from the emerging Nightmare and he dashes over to do the sensible thing and make sure they're all right]

Hey, you all right? [he looks past the taller Dreamer, at the Nightmare, before shooting said Dreamer a grin] Don't let me discourage you, but unless you want the one-way shortcut outta here, you're running the wrong way.

[most of Dojo is surrounded by a platform adventurer's dream, but there's sections where the wall is sheer and empty with little footholds... So of course the adventure platformer remembered where they all were]

Oh - I've never been up here before.

[Miraidon is, immediately, ashamed to be seen running away. Nightmares are perhaps more dangerous for him than a real Dreamer, but it's not like people know that. It's not like he can tell them. If he were a real Dreamer - if he were the Doctor! - he'd have to stay and help! The Doctor could have. He rarely did, but he knows the real Dreamer Miraidon was much stronger than the reflection left behind.

This all passes entirely unseen behind the featureless glass of his helmet, of course.]

This might take...a team...

[It also might not, if someone were to put it down right now? Frankly, he's not totally sure. He has no experience to speak of, and Turo quit actually fighting these a long time ago. At least. Until the last one.]

[Sonic looks at the forming Nightmare... While he's still wearing that easy going grin, there's a sharp look in his eyes. It's in his nature to be pretty laid back but even he knows better than to underestimate the sort of threat a Nightmare poses]

Hey, don't worry. [Engrish again...] It's just too bad your first visit here is like this.

... It might. But we got here pretty early. [he turns his head to look at the other Dreamer] Can you contact the DU? I'm pretty confident taking on these things on my own, but it wouldn't hurt to let them know what's happening here. [a reassuring(?) grin] Then I don't need to worry about writing up a report!

[seems he doesn't recognize Miraidon at all...]

[ For Dreamer Gungnir... Fury Peak was a good location for training, especially when training to use a brand new, potentially risky power. The heat and hostile environment fits what she's trying to master, after all.

With that said, training comes second to her actual duties. Namely, helping out anybody else who comes along, since things can get pretty hectic otherwise. Needless to say, the sound of crackling electricity is notably distinct compared to the normal sounds of this area.

Thus, soon after the unleashing of Electro Drift... ]

Heeeeeey...! Is anyone over here...?

[ A distant voice growing closer... ]

[By the time the voice calls out, Dreamer Miraidon (or, perhaps, False Dreamer Miraidon) has already handled the rock-throwing Torments. The sound of a voice is somehow a little bit scarier than they were. He freezes. His first wild instinct is to run and hide.

But - no, that's ridiculous. Didn't he come all this way just to find some Dreamers? The Figment brushes itself off, glancing over its armor to make sure it's as presentable as possible...and, of course, that it isn't somehow visibly not a real Dreamer.]

Uh - yes! Hello!

[ Shortly after he calls out, Hibiki appears, jumping up from a lower section of the cavern. Admittedly, she was expecting a fight... expecting there to still be some torments left. It's fortunate, though, that this isn't the case. ]

Ah...! The fight's already over, huh?

[ Her fists unclench, the gauntlets equipped on them releasing steam as she unprimes herself for battle, glancing over at the Dreamer who called back and— ]

Whoa...! Who are you? I've never seen anyone like you around before!

[ He looks so... futuristic and stuff! ]

i. Promised Morning's Culture Day

[Olruggio hates travelling. The DU was nice enough to give him a few days to adjust to the timezone difference, but with his internal clock the way that it was there was no real way to 'adjust'. The time difference actually suits the night owl in him better! If anything, it's the physical aches and pains that come with being cooped up in the airplane seats that he needs time to recover from.

His legs and lower back were killing him by the time he landed in the airport. Olruggio's just grateful he doesn't have to worry about moving his luggage around.

Which doesn't explain why the DU thought it would be a good idea to extend an invitation to visit Promised Morning's Culture Day to him. He thought he'd made it clear that he had no interest in becoming a mentor to young Dreamers when he'd first graduated to Experienced. Though... It wouldn't hurt to stretch his legs and see how the Japanese students were faring. What sort of Dreams were they seeing? How did their powers manifest?

And who knows? Maybe he'll find some inspiration for some future commissions...]

Pity there isn't anything like a beer garden here...

[Thus there is a foreigner peering thoughtfully at some of the stalls and what the students have set up, with a focus on the stalls manned by the arts clubs though he looks at the food stalls as well]

Mmm.. Then again, maybe a coffee would be the better choice.

ii. 'Glowstone Path' Installation

[Throughout the second half of November, a portion of the front entrance to the DU Headquarters is sectioned off as construction and electrical crews take over.... They're going a little overboard for their usual Christmas lights, aren't they?

Olruggio technically doesn't have to be here for this part of the install. His job was just to design and sort out the logistics of the lights and tiles, not so much the installation process itself. But he's nothing if not a perfectionist. 'Olruggio of the Torch' has a reputation for a reason! He would sooner lose sleep than let his immaculate image be tarnished because some third party contractor or another decided to cut corners on a project with his name written on it. There was simply no chance of such a thing happening.

He doesn't get enough sleep to deal with the damage an accident might do to his public image!

Which is where someone might find him, looking harried and sporting posture so terrible that your average salaryman would wince, hanging out in front of the building speaking with the foreman and possibly yelling at the curious onlooker or two]

Oi! Did you not see the sign? 'Authorized Personnel Only' means stay back unless you're part of the crew!

iii. Reflection Glades

[he has been here less than a couple of weeks and the DU is already sending Olruggio out to do Dream Sphere patrols. Is this a joke? The reports had painted this area of the Dream Sphere as being quiet and relatively Torment free... And yet when he steps foot here, Torch finds that things are almost anything but quiet.

He's a Saver, not a Striker! The amount of Torments here outstrips what was reported previously, which points to either the Yumemigaoka Dreamers' questionable work ethics or this area of the Dream Sphere being more susceptible to outside influence following all those Disturbances]

What a mess...!

[with a flourish, he kneels down, pen gliding across a page of his circular notebook as he does so, before he presses the drawn spell against the floor. The ground glows for a moment before pillars of flame erupt from below to knock back several Torments, forming a temporary barrier around an unfortunate few Figments. It's certainly flashy, but so far as actual damage, it seems to be... a little lacking? With the Torments' advance momentarily stymied, Torch steps forward to start herding the Figments away from the Torments as fast as he can.

Once he notices another Dreamer approach, he yells out to them;]

What are you just standing there for?! [he jerks his head back] I'll support you, so get out there and help.

[It's not very often that Hanako visits the Glade on his patrols-- not because of the atmosphere or anything like that, but because... well, there wasn't really much to do there, really. With how quiet and peaceful it normally was, it felt sort of like a waste of time to hang around, especially if there was nothing to fight. It was a nice kind of resting spot for the Novices when they got bored of just hanging around the city, but aside from that...

There had been talk, however, that there was unusual activity cropping up there recently, and given the pattern of certain things as of late, he figured he'd probably check it out himself. And once he arrived... whoof. What a mess, indeed! He didn't think he'd seen this many Torments in the Glade before like-- ever. He barely has enough time to take in the situation when an eruption of flames grabs his attention, drawing his eye to the scruffy stranger currently wrangling in some of the Figments behind it. Ah... right, there were an awful lot of those here, weren't there? And if the Torments got their hands on them...

He's just about done summoning his Hakujoudai to help, when the old guy goes and yells out to him, drawing something of a petulant pout upon his face.]

Um, excuse me. I just got here, y'know!

[He can only act so quickly, okay!! But even Hanako knew better than to start an argument when there were lives (or Dream-lives, rather) at stake, so he wastes no time jumping into the fray, directing his orby-bois where to go with a sweep of his hand.]

Go get 'em, Hakujoudai!!

[At that, they barrel into the closest cluster of Torments approaching Torch's barrier, hoping to knock them back far enough so the other man has some more time to herd those Figments to safety. If he could maybe push them back towards one of the lakes around here, that would be ideal, but...]

[olruggio]

[The break from Torments that comes with the Hakujoudai barreling through them is enough for Torch to direct more of his focus to directing the Figments - barely conscious as they are - towards safety. His barrier of flame fades as he does though it doesn't completely dissipate; experience makes it so that his magic is precise in it's use and the efficiency lets it fade away more slowly.

Once the group he was protecting is safely moving away from danger, he turns back to the Torments and the boy who was attacking them.... One who was passively floating in the air. Far be it for Olruggio to judge; he technically has flight as a power as well. But the benefit of Hanako being at range is that Torch doesn't need to worry too much about healing him for the moment. Instead, they can turn their focus to protecting the Figments still trying to escape.

He draws another spell and sends a plume of flame in the center of a group of Torments, spreading them out enough so they don't start combining, but not so far as to make it hard for Dreamer AOEs to hit them]

Oi, doesn't the DU have patrols going around making sure to keep their numbers down?

[like seriously, what's even happened here?!]

[His Hakujoudai were strong enough these days to dissipate weaker Torments upon impact, which helps considerably in thinning out the herds of critters trying to get the jump on them here. Not too surprising that a relatively chill place like the Glade would have comparatively weaker Torments, but it was more the number of beasties and the proximity of this many vulnerable Figments that made the fight a trickier one. But as long as they were careful...

He can't help but catch a glimpse of the old guy's Sandglass when he pulls it out for his next attack, and-- was it a pen? A notebook? Both??? Not that Hanako has much time to puzzle over the nature of his weapon, however, as that next burst of flame sends that group of Torments scattering, some of them just within arm's reach. With a flourish of his fingers, he summons his own Sandglass knife to his hands, swiping and dodging between the wayward creatures to further shave down the bunch. Not that he doesn't have the time to answer the other man's question, though--!]

Beats me ☆! I don't usually do patrols in this section! [H-Hanako.... should you really be admitting that so cheerfully to him....] I mean, as far as locations go, this place is pretty much a tutorial level, so there's usually not a lot of Torments in general around here.

[So, needless to say, this sort of infestation wasn't a common thing the DU had to worry about!! Which in and of itself made the situation a lot more concerning...]

Not sure what happened that made it get this bad, though. It's definitely not normal.

[Something similar had happened last year, when the Vale had detached, where all of the zones started flip-flopping in their risk levels, but... as far as Hanako knew, the other locations had been pretty much the same (save for those odd holiday Torments, of course). So what gives?]

[ It should go without saying that Ai is Absolutely Being Nosy. She'd heard rumblings that this was getting installed for a little while now but she'd sort of assumed it was a hypothetical next-year project, so it's kind of startling when she gets to work one day and part of the pavement is just... gone. Huh.

It takes her a second to work out exactly who is supposed to be the architect here but once she does, she casually sidles up to him and meets his energy with a cheery grin - and as if to preempt any complaints about authorization, she cheerily lifts her employee ID dangling from the lanyard around her neck. ]

Wow, you guys are going way more all-out than I was expecting...! This is gonna be pretty extra once it's all installed, huh?

[olruggio]

[Olruggio grimaces when she raises her employee ID at him, like he's not supposed to recognize the face of the Main DU HQ when she waltzes up to him. Like her presence wasn't already drawing the attention of some of the workers trying to get a glimpse of her.

He most certainly has not slept enough to deal with this, as he feels all his complaints turning to ash before he can even voice them]

'Extra'!? [he heaves a sigh] I would hope not. It'll be pretty, sure, but it shouldn't impede foot traffic nor should it distract from the main focus here.

Pretty sure it already got run past all of you before we started tearing up concrete.

>1. Culture day

[Right now, Tsukasa has the excuse of being the family of someone going to school here. He isn't a student yet but that's a work in progress (don't worry about it). It seemed like he should check it out before he makes too many big decisions. He's turning 15 and he's been told he should work on being responsible so he is.

While going to the first stall he sees, poking and prodding without much respect at all. His curiosity > manners.] How'd you make this?

>2. Illuminations

[But no matter how old he does get, he is just so excited by the holidays. He loves the christmas lights and while it's supposed to be a romantic holiday, Tsukasa doesn't care. Christmas is for everybody in his book. He is so busy looking up he does not look around.

So sorry if he bumps into you! Nothing personal. He just blinks and bows his head, his own way of apologizing because he's been told again and again he shouldn't say sorry if he doesn't mean it! So he won't say sorry. Lying is bad after all.] The lights are pretty. [It's his explanation. Not much of one but well, the lights ARE pretty...]

>3. Reflection Glades

[Though Tsukasa is a brand new Dreamer, this isn't his first time in the Dream Sphere. While most people might be a little anxious about such a big undertaking, Tsukasa doesn't look nervous at all. There isn't much of anything that truly phases Tsukasa into much else than excitement. But he's never been one to worry. [Luckily for Tsukasa, the person he winds up bumping into is more than used to this kind of thing already-- he's had about fifteen years dealing with his brother's absent-mindedness, after all! Still, Amane can't help but give him a mildly disapproving look, readjusting his hold on the goodies in his arms so none of them could slip out of his grasp. Maybe he should have expected this after making that stop over at the snacks stall, but he didn't think he'd been gone that long.]

Tsukasaaa! You gotta be more careful around folks. I mean, the lights are nice and all, but...

[He had to be more mindful around others!! Not that Amane was particularly upset over it (and even his chiding was gentle at best), but that didn't mean others wouldn't take insult if it had happened to them. And the last thing he wanted was for his brother to land himself into trouble while they were out here at night (or, at least the not-fun sort of trouble, anyway).

With a slight huff, he hands one of the hard-won treats over to his twin, a small cellophane bag filled with green and red popcorn, along with other candies mixed in. He's probably gonna regret giving Tsukasa this much sugar later on, but...]

[Amane said he wouldn't be gone for long and if there's one thing Tsukasa is good at, it's keeping track of how long Amane has been away from him. He's certainly gotten better about allowing his brother some privacy but still! If Amane is supposed to be with him then Tsukasa will track every single second he's supposed to be. And promptly go looking for him when he's deemed it too long.

Of course, he's easily distracted so yeah he did get distracted by the lights. But it's fine! Not like this will be the first time Amane makes a fuss about him nor the last time. Just Amane things!

Besides, does the disciplining really matter once Amane gives him a treat? The answer is no because if Amane really was upset, he would not give Tsukasa a treat! He's quickly eating, practically inhaling the food as if he hasn't eaten in hours.]

[Tycoon tends to volunteer in his free time, his hobby both in the Dream Sphere and outside of it. But, well... Since he's an experienced Dreamer now, he supposes that he's technically getting paid for patrolling now but still!! He's here because he was told about the increase in Torment activity in the relatively quiet area of the Glades and he wants to help.

He summons a pair of Bunshins to help him thin out the groups of Torments so that Savers and Sentries can go in and herd the panicking Figments to safety, his own magic shining a bright green and pink whenever he attacks. Tycoon's pretty focused until he hears a familiar voice.

Tanuki ears twitch as he turns around to look where the voice is coming from before he freezes]

... Tsukasa-kun?!

[He'd been working at Camellia for a year at this point; after Amane, Keiwa is the one most commonly found trying to pull Tsukasa out from where ever corner he's hidden himself away in... And his strong reactions to getting jump scared also results in him being the one most likely to be caught up in his antics too. It's just...

He hadn't expected to run into the younger Yugi twin here, his surprise apparent in how his tail nearly doubles in size, fur all puffed up]

[Poor Keiwa. Just when he thought he might have found a place where Tsukasa wouldn't jump out from who knows where to scare him. Nope. He'll be bothering him here, too.]

Whoa, your tail is all fluffy...is that one of your powers?

[Excuse him as he attempts to run after him, trying to feel his tail. Tsukasa, you don't just go grabbing people's tails??? But it's Keiwa. Keiwa should be used to this by now, right? Personal space doesn't exist when you know the person!

[ Doing PR for the DU is always a good excuse for Ai to come visit Promised Morning, even when she doesn't really belong. She's got enough of her trainees here that she could probably make a good enough show of just wanting to come check on them but now Ruby's here, she knows the safe thing to do is to avoid drawing attention - or suspicion. But a big public event like this with so many people coming and going is, counterintuitively, the perfect excuse to drop by herself.

She's already checked in on what Ruby's class are up to, so she's making herself roam a bit before she heads back. She's nabbed herself some food from one of the stalls (a few dango skewers drowning in mitarashi syrup) and she's making her way back through the school when she spots - ]

... Ahah, Tsukasa-kun! Did you decide to come check up on us?

Yep! Amane was all nervous about his first Culture Day at a new place so I came by to check in on him~ [Mostly true. He is also spying to figure out how he's going to feel about this place. But he can keep his mouth shut about some things and this is supposed to be a surprise.]
