Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's very first AU/CR Plotting Meme! This first version is going up in advance of the game itself to give potential applicants the opportunity to feel out how they want to play their AUs as well as shopping around for pre-game CR and potentially some CR castmates...??? Perish the thought!
During future app rounds, the AU and CR Plotting memes will be split in two in order for new players to have a bit of breathing room in workshopping their CR but in this pre-game stretch while we're all chewing on the bars of our collective cage you get a two for one deal!
Don't feel as though you have to be 100% beholden to anything you brainstorm here – ultimately this is just to get ideas flowing and to help prebake some character connections before entry into the game. Feel free to also take a look around the FAQ pages or tag about on the TDM before posting here and generate some ideas that way!

Character Name: Miyu Kobayashi Canon: oc that literally spawned from bd existing cause the concept was funny to me
About: - Miyu is an oneirologist who has a lot of opinions about dreams. and science. - She was going to grow up to be Normal but then she found out about the whole mahou thing and went Hold On A Second and dragged her ass + her entire life to Yumemigaoka on short notice. - when i say short notice i mean it, she barely had any of her personal belongings and she wasn't exactly making a ton of money to begin with so......... - but hey! suffer for your craft. she rented a dingy little building that serves as Lower Half Office Upper Half Her Entire Room but as far as she's concerned it's nothing a little elbow grease can't fix (the place is falling apart) - she is not a mahou herself and for the purposes of what i want to do with this character she will never become one, but she is very interested in them. like she's basically a magical [gender] otaku except they're real. she probably owns a magical girl outfit IRL and has it hidden behind her normal clothes - basically the crux of it is she would really like to study dreamers and everything about it to the extent that she can in the real world but please understand this is going to be like, tonally consistent for the setting. she wants to make you eat a ghost pepper and then report back if it had any effect on your experience while dreaming. she wants to make you sleep suspended in midair upside down and tell her if it had any effect on your dreaming. she...look you get the idea - "how is any of this legal" anyway - "how does she pay rent" ANYWAY
Short Term & Long Term Plans: Essentially if she can't have any impact on the plot as a normie I'm totally fine with her just being that weird girl in the suspicious clinic people told you not to go to for psychiatric help but if she can i mean. points at topic of study. otherwise i just wanna play someone more fun/light than how i intend morris to be
Desired CR/AU Castmates: - Volunteers! As you may have gotten from above I don't want this to become "THE TWISTED EXPERIMENTATION BEGINS", she's more "comic relief" quirky dream science girl than like, lack-of-morals-torments-you-for-results stuff. - Despite all of the above she is meant to be a proper Doctor (in an anime sense dont make me think too hard about this) so I think it would be cute if she had some patients as a psychiatrist and it's like "oh my 5 o clock is here" /stops being a freak for 5 seconds and actually helps people cope. her love of dreams has a very compassionate side to it I want to get into through rp and that extends to her actually caring about people. really. honestly. truly. - unlike metal i am EAGER AND OPEN FOR FAMILY SO LIKE IF YOU WANT A WEIRD COUSIN OR SISTER OR AUNT PLEASE I WOULD BE SO HAPPY. im aiming for her to be in the 25-30 age bracket but if someone wants a weird aunt ill definitely skew older than younger, your parent will just have to be the older sibling - if like one (or more) people could be bankrolling her and get really impatient/annoyed at her for kind of being a waste of investment i think that would be really funny. i want her to have to come up with excuses every month about how she's definitely super duper mega close to making a breakthrough (she isnt she never will be) - friends!!!!!!! she is very social. - exes!!!!!!! she's gay and while id say give her a girlfriend thats the kind of thing id rather happen in game rather than be established beforehand (for her at least) but if anyone wants to be like "yeah we dated once why is my taste so bad" that would be cute - coworkers who are like "where did you get your medical license" as she changes the subject (again dont make me think too hard about this cause im running on comic relief anime logic, but it still would be funny)
