Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's very first AU/CR Plotting Meme! This first version is going up in advance of the game itself to give potential applicants the opportunity to feel out how they want to play their AUs as well as shopping around for pre-game CR and potentially some CR castmates...??? Perish the thought!
During future app rounds, the AU and CR Plotting memes will be split in two in order for new players to have a bit of breathing room in workshopping their CR but in this pre-game stretch while we're all chewing on the bars of our collective cage you get a two for one deal!
Don't feel as though you have to be 100% beholden to anything you brainstorm here – ultimately this is just to get ideas flowing and to help prebake some character connections before entry into the game. Feel free to also take a look around the FAQ pages or tag about on the TDM before posting here and generate some ideas that way!

Character Name: Binah Canon: Lobotomy Corporation/Library of Ruina
About: Hey, dreamers. Did you know that I, Bee, fucking love dark magical girls? You did? Terrific.
Well, I'll boil the basic facts down to be as digestible as possible; I'm going to playing Binah as Garion, a trans woman that's probably around college age (but might go younger/older depending on what other players are settling on) and doesn't really fit into the "jolly cooperation" model of things. More on that under plans! For now, she'll be taking up the mantle of a dark mahou - the leader of a team that scouts and "recruits" (read: brings under her heel) other mahou to keep the city safe.
As a person, Garion is kind of miserable to deal with on a long term. She's cold and sharp, more a weapon of steel than a human being; she speaks in thinly veiled allusions and references, and is far more happy to discuss philosophy than the day's events. In her own canon, she has killed at the behest of a cruel city for a very long time, but grows fond of some parts of the world she inhabits; in this AU, she'll be very focused on keeping things Orderly and Clean, and if that means discouraging all the new young-eyed dreamers she is more than happy to do so.
Notably, I'd like to keep her power set secret for the time being! We'll see what happens when the game gets rolling, though. >:3c
tl,dr; Cold and cruel person who, while not really explicitly antagonistic, is absolutely going to discourage the dreamers who don't side with her and recruit people with darkness in their hearts/powersets that make them useful for keeping the city safe - come hell or high water.
Short Term & Long Term Plans: Speaking short term, here's the obvious one - I'd like her to have a team of similarly "dark magical people," and am interested in plotting this out. (More below!) However, on a long term, I do like the idea of people with particularly strong ideals and the ability to back them up swaying her over time. Basically, she needs to be shown that her own dream is not necessarily correct - and that someone else is strong enough to make their own dream a reality.
Desired CR/AU Castmates: HERE WE GO. So: Garion is going to be leading a team of dark mahou, the sort of people who might not normally join up with an idealistic team of beginners. You know what that means? Binah needs teammates. People who can fight alongside her and under her command; whether they joined because of her forceful personality, her crushing morals and ideals, or because she literally beat the shit out of them to get them to submit. This is done with Claire's permission, just to note!
Depending on what age I end up going with, I'm also fine with people knowing her alter ego as "that scary person in my class/that I've seen around town." I also love previous CR/handwaved CR, so don't hesitate to hit me up on that!!
SEE I LOVE THIS NO MATTER WHAT GARION THINKS? do be aware that binah will try to make his life a living hell for it, but if you're down with antagonistic CR i'm absolutely down for that!!
I personally think it would be very interesting to have Meow and Garion regularly clash in their roles as Dreamers, since as someone who very deliberately has not joined Dreamer Union, Garion probably would have at least APPROACHED Meow even if she was immediately rebuffed, and I can imagine some... tense, ideological discussions, potentially shouting matches with magic, happening between the two of them regularly.
I REALLY LIKE THIS IDEA... garion would absolutely have approached meow at some point! meow might have started shouting. garion prefers the "speak softly and carry the weight of an arbiter" method of things dlfmsdf
she'd ABSOLUTELY have fought meow over it, though - depending on how things work out with claire?? - it might have been more in a "testing your limits" way and/or a "fight all you want while i mock you and focus entirely on dodging and defense" sort of thing. she's the worst like that.
Garion would have to REALLY get on Meow's nerves to get her to throw a punch, although, since this is Garion we're talking about, I think that this would both be easily accomplished by her and something she'd intentionally do lmao
So Jun isn't really the dark type but like he's acting out a teenage rebellion against his father who IS.
Han-Jae Gungjeon is obscenely rich and is also a dreamer, I think, but he's trying to figure out how to use his powers to take advantage of normal people. That seems like the kind of person that Binah's band of edgelords might know about.
Ok so what if Binah had attempted recruiting Ashild shortly after her awakening and *almost* succeeded but ultimately came across as entirely too much like Starline.

SO. I have no idea how this might go or if she'd even be able to stand this stubborn, gremlin asshole, but if you're looking for people on the dark magical girl side of things I can offer Snatcher here.
He'll definitely have a chip on his shoulder from being press-ganged into service (because I imagine she'll have to have curb-stomped his ass to get him in), but depending on how/if personalities work out he DOES have a knack for writing contracts
