Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's very first AU/CR Plotting Meme! This first version is going up in advance of the game itself to give potential applicants the opportunity to feel out how they want to play their AUs as well as shopping around for pre-game CR and potentially some CR castmates...??? Perish the thought!
During future app rounds, the AU and CR Plotting memes will be split in two in order for new players to have a bit of breathing room in workshopping their CR but in this pre-game stretch while we're all chewing on the bars of our collective cage you get a two for one deal!
Don't feel as though you have to be 100% beholden to anything you brainstorm here – ultimately this is just to get ideas flowing and to help prebake some character connections before entry into the game. Feel free to also take a look around the FAQ pages or tag about on the TDM before posting here and generate some ideas that way!

About: - Florida Man (name: Fly Higson) accidentally shoots friend nonlethally. Charges are never pressed, but it gets him the nickname "Misfire" which lasts forever. - Due to [reasons] he leaves the beautiful US of A and winds up in Yumemigaoka. Some say he was searching to find himself. Many will say he was on the run. - He awakened as a dreamer pretty soon after arriving and for once had the opportunity to do something productive with his life. - Joined the DU with nothing better to do, is now an experienced dreamer and eager to onboard new recruits. - In his free time, however, he contributes to society via gambling, scavenging garbage, and editing wikipedia pages in silly and crude ways.
Short Term & Long Term Plans: Short term plans wise, he's just here to have fun. Long term, I wanna get into why he's just here to have fun. Meaning: he's got terrible self esteem and his sense of identity is just a commitment to the bit, and I want him to grow out of that and into a more comfortable and sincere sense of self that ISN'T just Being A Funny Guy.
Desired CR/AU Castmates: As he's an Experienced Dreamer I think it'd be super fun for him to have established teammates, or novices that are taken under his wing (which, like, sorry to them), so!
she makes his forum signature the latest FLORIDA MAN headline whenever he posts and if he's being particularly annoying she replaces the text of his replies with various low-quality gifs of people getting shot in funny ways
Hells yeah, Ango seems totally like His Kind Of Guy. Birds of a feather. He probably offered his couch to him the first time they met (it's not even his couch to offer)
Just so you know, Misfire and Obi are legally required to be friends again. He could even have been there to witness the Original Misfiring. IF YOU WANT, HE CAN EVEN BE THE FRIEND MISFIRE SHOT.

Yes absolutely. And then Obi was like MISSYYYY!!!! and made him curry and tried to catch up on what's been going on in his life while sharing almost 0 details about his own life, because that's what he do. Obi probably doesn't even tell Misfire he's a Dreamer until he has to.
Also, if Misfire needs a couch to offer Ango to crash on, he can use Obi's for that, too. Of course Obi wouldn't mind, he's Obi, Obi never minds anything!
I LOVE IT. They're so dumb. I think after that Obi would wanna be on Misfire's team, too, though I might leave his mentorship open to other folks as a way to get new CR.
