AU/CR PLOTTING

Welcome to Beautiful Dreamer's very first AU/CR Plotting Meme! This first version is going up in advance of the game itself to give potential applicants the opportunity to feel out how they want to play their AUs as well as shopping around for pre-game CR and potentially some CR castmates...??? Perish the thought!

During future app rounds, the AU and CR Plotting memes will be split in two in order for new players to have a bit of breathing room in workshopping their CR but in this pre-game stretch while we're all chewing on the bars of our collective cage you get a two for one deal!

Don't feel as though you have to be 100% beholden to anything you brainstorm here – ultimately this is just to get ideas flowing and to help prebake some character connections before entry into the game. Feel free to also take a look around the FAQ pages or tag about on the TDM before posting here and generate some ideas that way!

Ben’s style is very defensive and involves blocking/parrying everything until your opponent makes a mistake and punishing that ruthlessly. Taunting also features heavily.

Plus he does this pose a lot:

So it might a cool callback thing to their training to have her do that at some point

Asuna's more of a aggressive type of fighter relying on being faster and just....hitting them more than they hit her, but probably wanted to also learn a more defensive style too. Which might mean she sought him out for that specifically.

At some point it could happen. :)

Okay wait I'm having a vision of potential CR. We can just leave it with your suggestion and occasionally have fencing training scenes or something, OR,

I could see Asuna being a decent stand in perhaps, but... I also think she wouldn't at all get along with Zeke.

Fair enough. I'm unfamiliar with Zeke as a character but he seemed to have a kind of Anakin energy about him so I took a stab at it.

We can just leave it as "Asuna occasionally goes to Ben for sword fighting lessons to brush up on her defense."
