I love the idea that they know each other’s alter-egos. How do we think that came about? Genkai might be a little easier to unmask, given that her costume’s (still to be magical girl-ified, but that’s the general idea) all cloth and not too hard to tear; if they met when she was still young enough to clearly be That Girl even when she returns to her normal age outside the Dream Sphere, it seems easier to put two and two together.

THAT’S FINE, if she’s known him a long time, I’m sure she’s used to it. She’s surely told him she’s not interested, but maybe hope springs eternal over such a long acquaintance?

apologies for the delayed response, life has been a kind of way lately

Gosh if they've been in the game long enough it could be anything. Way-back-when rookies relying on each other in a pinch? Eventually they just ended up talking about it one day after running into each other enough times? Accidental slip of the tongue? I could roll with anything.

Actually Larry would be perfectly content to go full bore into flirting/innuendos, maybe even because he knows she's not interested. It would be liberating, in his eyes, to be able to have that kind of banter between them with the safety net of him knowing that she knows he isn't trying to Get Somewhere with that shit.
